1. Who we are

Ledger & Cents ("we", "us") publishes general educational content about personal finance at this website. You can reach us at yanli20140223@gmail.com or through our contact page.

2. The short version

We do not ask you to register, we do not sell your data, and the calculators on this site run entirely in your browser — nothing you type into them is transmitted to us. We do use third-party advertising, which involves cookies set by Google. Details below.

Information you give us

If you email us or use the contact form, we receive whatever you choose to send — typically a name, an email address and your message. We use it to reply and, if relevant, to correct published content. We do not add you to a mailing list.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard technical information when you load a page: IP address, browser type, referring page, and the pages requested. This is used for security and for aggregate traffic measurement. It is not linked to a personal identity by us.

Page view counts

This site displays view counts on guides. These are stored as anonymous aggregate counters keyed to the guide's URL. No identifier for you is created, stored or associated with your visit.

Calculator inputs

All calculations run locally in your browser using JavaScript. The figures you enter — balances, rates, salary, savings targets — never leave your device and are not logged by us. Closing or reloading the page discards them.
